Job Description/Job objectives-includes, but not limited to the following:

Location: Erie, PA on site
Pay Rate: $18.15 to $22.35 per hour, depending on experience, plus shift differential ($.60 per hour) with comprehensive benefits package
This 2nd or 3rd Shift position requires proactive, independent, self-driven individuals who are experienced and knowledgeable in the operation of CNC Mills and Lathes.
Specific areas of responsibility for this position include:
Set up and run:
- CNC mills with up to 4 axis’s;
- CNC lathes with multiple spindles, turrets and Live tooling (C Axis).
- Multi brand Bar Feeders L.N.S. and Iemca
- Swiss Type Turning machine. Tsugami BO series experience a PLUS
- Okuma experience a Plus
- Must have knowledge of G code. Fanuc control and Okuma’s OSP operating controllers and or CAS system a PLUS. Knowledge of programming language.
- Able to reference planes, locations on surfaces and machine parameters. Must be able to make tooling offsets, and machine origin offsets, adjustments to ensure part quality.
- Mount fixtures, Jaws, Clamps, Stops, Mount tooling, measuring, and loading machine per setup instructions.
- Work as a team to improve efficiency and update job knowledge. Ensure continuity between shifts.
- Must be able to use measuring gauges to ensure part quality and maintain productivity standards. Experience using a CMM for part inspection a PLUS.
- Able to maintain equipment and safe operations.
- Other duties as assigned by management
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years’ experience as a CNC Machinist and possess a high mechanical aptitude. A post high school degree in CNC Machining or completion of an Apprenticeship Program is a plus. In addition, the ideal performer will be a motivated self-starter with good interpersonal and technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively on verbal and written levels.
