Reed Manufacturing believes in the importance of continuing education and training. To provide our customers with the best service, all Reed Regional Managers, Manufacturer’s Representatives, and Reed Associates are extensively trained in-house. The Product Development department engineers, senior Regional Managers, and Reed management give hands-on tool training sessions annually in addition to the formal, one-on-one, two-week session for new Regional Managers. Reed people know the products inside and out. They assemble them and disassemble them in addition to working with the tools in simulated and field situations. The Reed sales team understands tool applications and recommends to customers how to achieve the best results with Reed pipe tools and vises. These trained salespersons, the Reed Piping Solutions DVD (#01070), and Online Training Videos extend the training beyond Reed’s Erie, Pennsylvania classrooms. Reed’s trained sales team reaches out to offer jobsite training and demonstrations for tool users and for distributors. They visit trade/vocational schools to teach apprentices. The education and training is a two-way street as input from tool users finds its way back to Reed tool engineers to improve products and provide solutions for ever-changing or specific needs.
